The Warm Spring

The Warm Spring palette is inspired by the vibrant colors of spring’s early bloom, like the red red Spring tulips, yellow daffodils, and fresh green grass.

Here are the basics of the Warm Spring season

Temperature: Warm,
Value: Light
Chroma: Clear
Sister Season: Warm Autumn

Best Colors: Clear Red, Coral, Marigold, Orange, Clear Teal.

Avoid: Pink, Fuchsia, cool berry colors, dusty cool pastels.

The most important tip for Warm Springs is to choose only the warmest colors and make sure they are clear and bright.

Warm Springs are strictly warm, not flowing into any cool seasons. Be on the lookout for the blue-eyed Spring (blue eyes are in every season, even the warm seasons). Blue-eyed Springs often wear a lot of blue to enhance their eye color.

This is not a bad idea, but it's better to wear warmed-up blues like aqua, clear turquoise, clear teal, and robin's egg blue. This way, you will not only enhance your eye color but your skin and hair as well.

Creating a warm, clear glow is what this season is all about.

Hallmarks of the Warm Spring

Warm Springs are pretty easy to identify due to their golden warmth and luminous coloring.

  • Eyes: Typically light and clear, such as light green or light blue. Sometimes it can be grey or hazel or teal.
  • Skin: Usually golden, peachy, or warm beige. Sometimes, though, they can be very pale and can sometimes look slightly cool.
  • Hair: Warm Springs often have golden blonde, strawberry blonde, light  golden brown hair, or various shades of red.
  • Overall Look: Warm, fresh, and luminous. Note that they are the "heaviest" of the Spring sub-seasons and those with  red hair, they can be sometimes mistaken for Warm Autumns. But there is an unmistakable clarity to them and a need for clear vibrant colors.

Building a Warm Spring Wardrobe

A thoughtfully curated wardrobe in Warm Spring colors will help you look effortlessly put together. Start with with your best neutrals and layer in bright accents for variety.

Core Neutrals

Ivory, camel, warm beige, and light taupe make excellent foundational colors, or go darker with deeper browns and deep teals. These neutrals provide a versatile core wardrobe around which you can for mix-and-match outfits, knowing everything will fit beautifully.

Power Colors

Every additional item you buy should be in your favorite power colors, like coral, peach, and light aqua.

Wardrobe Tips

  • Shades of brown, navy,  or deep teal is a softer alternative to black, which is too heavy for your coloring and provides no warmth.
  • Choose ivory or cream to harmonize better with your warmth rather than pure white.
  • Focus on timeless, well-tailored pieces like blazers,  dresses, and suits for your core wardrobe which will last for years.

The right accessories can elevate your style and add polish to your look.

Metal/Jewelry: Gold, shiny copper, and bronze metals are ideal for your undertones.

Gemstones Warm colors like citrine, amber, yellow diamond, aquamarine  and warm coral are great choices.

Eyewear: Non-metal frames in warm tones like amber, golden brown,  camel work well. Choose your favorite colors from your palette for frames, particularly if they are thick.

Accessories close to your face like scarves and hat should always be in some of your absolute best colors.
