Here are the basics of the Dusty Soft Spring season.
Temperature: Warm, primarily
Value: Light
Chroma: Soft
Sister Season: Sunlit Soft Summer
Best Colors: Cocoa, French Vanilla, Turquoise, Light Lavender, Lemon Chiffon, Salmon, Soft Peach, Camel.
Worst Colors: Very bright or very dark, cool colors like black, magenta, cobalt blue.
The Dusty Soft Spring is a Spring that, unlike most Springs, is slightly muted. This season flows into Summer, and due to the blend of both warm and cool seasons, there will be a slight neutrality (temperature-wise) to your look, particularly when compared to the warm Spring.
Dusty Soft Springs often have blue eyes, and the cooler colors of the Spring palette will help enliven you. These include colors such as lavender, robin's egg blue, etc. However, the majority of your color should be warm, particularly your neutrals like shades of brown and tan. Very dark or very bright cool colors will overpower you.
If you haven't noticed yet, many images I use on this site are marked "ColorBreeze Art". This is part of my new artwork and visuals I have created with the help of AI, among other digital photo software. I will be slowly adding more images over time. Here are some for this season. Please share on Pinterest if you like them!
FYI: the Dusty Soft Spring is sometimes categorized as a 'Soft Spring' along with it's 'twin', the Sunlit Soft Spring.
